Ok whats the best DDL site. I torrent alot and it can be a pain in the ass, oddly porn usually only takes hours. Demonoid is good because their shit is usually legit with comments. Piratebay is supposed to be shut down by the end of August

www.warez-bb.org are both good. Katz links to a whole lot of forums and sites that have movies, games, software and pretty much anything available online, while the warez-bb is one of the biggest forums of the kind Katz links to.
You need to register with the warez forums, but it takes a minute, is free and you don't need to post anything to keep your account active. Very useful if you download movies and such all the time.
Oh I never tried to figure out RAR files I know a lot of people bitch when people host them 
ND, rar files are just compressed files and you don't need to do anything with them. If you use Windows, there is an inbuilt, default program called WinZip that will unzip the files for you.
So if you go to one of the sites I've mentioned and download all of the 4 or whatever parts of a movie in one folder of your computer, all you need to do is right click on the first rar file (they'll be named ending with a number sequentially, like xxxxx.part1.rar, xxxxx.part2.rar and so on) and left click on "extract here", for the whole movie to unpack automatically, after which you can play the file that shows up using your media player software - VLC is the best one out there that you can get for free online.
And Affeman is right, DDL is way better than torrents, cause you download the files like you download a YouTube clip - it's very fast and one way. There are these newer formats of compression such as rmvb and mkv, which compress a whole movie into 300 MB or so, which means you can download a whole movie within half an hour, without the drag and hassles of torrents.
