Tony Atlas in his prime benched pressed well over 600lbs.I witnessed him bench press 600lbs raw in George Eifermans gym back in 1985.He was training with Road Warriors Animal and Hawk, who he was supposed to wrestle that evening.Tony got 600 for the first rep easy, and the second rep with very little from Animal who was spotting him.
Tony was an enormous man.Hulk Hogan, and the Road Warriors were all in the gym that afternoon, in August of 1985.
I will tell you this, Tony make Hulk Hogans look tall and smaller then he was, and he dwarfed both of the Road Warriors.
He is probably one of the biggest, unbloated just muscular bodybuilders I have ever seen. His chest at the time was about 60" and his arms were 23 1/2".There is no way Hulk Hogan had 24" arms because when Tony Atlas stood next to him his arms look more like a 20-21" arms.
The legendary bodybuilder George Eiferman said these words I will never forget about Tony Atlas. That is the biggest man I have ever seen, I don't even know how the guy fit through the dam door, he was so big.
I trained and got to talk with Tony while he was in town, at the time I was only 18.After that he kind of became my mentor.
I still keep in contact with him to this say.Great guy, and a true legend

Showstoppa, when the wrestlers aren't in the ring, they train together, and hang out together.Wrestling isnt real.I watched Ken Patera get drunk and party with The Sheik 2 hours after there match. They were supposed to be arch enemies.
People think wrestling is real, ...its not...All the grudges, and feuds you see are all fake.....They are all friends.
Ask anybody in the industry. Before each match, they even talk over and plot how they are going to wrestle and how they plan on finishing the match.I know the Undertakes, he real name is Mark, and he says most of the people in WWE are like family to him. They look up to him because he has been in the WWE since 1992.
Showstoppa, you didn't know that all the matches, are somewhat choreographed, and fixed????

I'm not sure about the bench but a friend of mine witnessed Tony pick up a Honda Civic and press it overhead back in the early 80's

Eifferman had some big pipes in his prime. Atlas's arms were probably closer to 20.5 inches, and he only weighed about 250. 60 inch chest, no way.

haha.

owned.

its funny how delusional people.

do you know have any idea how big 24 inch arms (muscular) and the limited people who have them?

also, its funny to hear how many record breakers there are in powerlifting by guys who arent really powerlifters.

the bench record in 83-85 was held by lee moran with a raw 628 in the 308 weight class.

so tony could have broken the world record with the sporatic training and hectic schedule that of a pro wrestler?
