The pic you posted was in the late 1970's, this pic was from the early 1980's.Tony Atlas was 6'2 1/2" and in his peak weighed 280lbs.He had a 30 inch waiste, 60 in chest had 23 inch arms and at his peak had 31" thighs.
Ronnie Coleman is only 5'10" so off course he is going to look bigger.Plus Ronnie took 3 times the drugs Tony did.
Back when Tony was training he used just test and d-ball, not much else.WIth ronnie, you know the drill, gh insulin, and god only knows what else.

based on the pic you posted, toney freeman and gunter (same height) would drawf tony and they are no where near the stats you claim tony is.

23" arms would mean you have arms 2" larger in circumference then the average mans head. (21" being the average circumference of a mans head)   Show me any pic of Tony Atlas in which his arms clearly appear larger than his head in circumference.

lol just lol... 60 inch chest? Chris cormier had a 54 inch offseason and 52 season chest measurement. Ronnies must be around 58 - 60 probably due to his massive back. GTFO

Atlas is sooo 80's.

We add GH and push T levels to the max nowadays.

This is not your father's BB physique anymore.

John Cole, Tony Atlas is 52  years old in that video, and he hasn't used anabolics in probably 12 years.Tony Atlas, Anthony White, was born in 1954, so he is an old man now.But I talked to him about 3 months ago he still has 20 " arms.
Tony Atlas was one of the biggest, men I have seen and met in my life, in his prime.
When he was at Eifermans gym back in 85 he was training with the Road Warriors Animal and Hawk, they were bench pressing.
Tony was so big he outsized  Animal from The Road Warriors by a good margin , and animal had 21" arms at the time.
I had 21" arms and a 57 " chest at 290 lbs and I was still nowhere big as Tony Atlas was
Now as far as Ronnie Coleman goes, yes Ronnie had a bigger back and legs then Tony.Ronnie's arms also has a peak to it, Tony's, biceps is a longer bicep, so it wont look as big.Plus Tony is 3" taller then Ronnie and has longer arms so a 23" arm wont look as big on Tony. You have to remember back in the 1980's they didn't have GH or insulin, like they did in the 1990's.I know some bodybuilders used gh in the 80's but only the top guys.Tony never used gh, and knew nothing about it.
All he knew, was train heavy and hard. His physique wasn't complete, he had a massive chest big arms and huge traps.
His chest was so big Mean Jean Oakerland, said he was Barrel chested, lol.
I trained with Berry Demey, Johnny Moran,Gary Strydom,Chalrles Glass, Gunther,Jim Quinn,Mike Christian,The Road Warriors,Albert Beckles,Bill Goldberg,Terry, AKA,Hulk Hogan,Robby Robinson,Mike Quinn,and Even Paul Demayo.
At George Eifermans gym alot of pro bodybuilders and wrestlers would train there,.If I seen a pro training, I would ask to train with them to learn.I been training 23-24 years,so I have seen and met alot of pro wrestlers and bodybuilders.
You guys can say what you want, but Tony Atlas, did have 23 inch arms and a 6 in chest. No he doesn't look as big as todays builders, because his physique wasn't as complete, because of the drugs, and technology of training.
Tony would go out drinking until 4am after wrestling and be in the gym at 8 am training, which isn't to smart, by todays standards. If only Tony had Cell Tech, and Nitro Tech, he to could come Mr Olympia, lol

How do you know all these measurements? The figures are all inflated, esp. in wrestling.

Do you like go up to every guy with a tape and say "excuse me sir can I wrap this around your body"? "Oh sure, no problem" "thank you sir".

i think the guys who post here would be more impressed by two qualities of tony atlas besides his bench press

1) he is known for a having an INSANELY huge foot fetish
2) he talks like something out of the classic show "amos and andy"

Tonys body measurement were common knoweldge, everybody who knew him knew how big he was.
I have known Tony 24 years, so I consider Anthony White my friend.I usually talk to him 3-4 times a year, just to see how he is doing.Freakgeek, dont you have a bodybuilder you look up to? You probably know how much he weighs, how big his arms are, and how tall he is dont you? I met Tony because I was a fan of his physique, not of wrestling.
I was 17 years old when I first him on T.V. and I was so impressed with his physique I wanted to start working out.
Isnt that how we all got started? We saw a bodybuilding magazine, a muscular guy on TV, or a pro wrestler who had a muscular body that made us want to look like them.

Method GNA only a muscle worshiping schmoe would think the way you do.I endorse Robert Burneikas , and he is one of my sponsored athletes.I dont fall under the schmoe category, seeing that I am actually a retired bodybuilder who still weighs over  250 lbs at 7-8 % bodyfat.
I have given both Tony Atlas, and Robert Burneika supplements, to sponsor them, I am a legitimate company.
I work with many athlete on many levels to help them achieve, the goals they want. Some I sponsor, some I cant because they are already sponsored.

Do you think Benoit was good friends with his kid and wife?

Probably was since he laid a bible right next to his kid. Still inexcusable but I don't think he had any genuine malice towards his family. In his twisted mind he probably thought he was doing what was best for them since his life wasn't working out well for him. Who knows what went on in that brain of his.

Doesn't make him any less of a murderer though

No way in HELL atlas made the road warriors look smaller then himself. No way.

Back in 1985, I totally agree. Hawk and Animal were just HUUGGEE in those years.
