He's more of a lame duck than Palin ever was and the ethics complaints keep piling up.

Doesn't he see that now it the time to "pass the ball so his team can score"

Maybe he never played basketball like Palin did so he doesn't understand these things

This was a legit question until the "has the affair ever been proven". Straw he's been banging that chick for a long time. As for Sanford.....if he's been effective since the allegations then I guess thats up to the voters of South C. If he can't get anything done..he needs to step down. In my opinion he needed to step down immediatly.

The only concern I think is valid is: were there any abuses of his office while having the affair. I remember that being a question and don't know if that was resolved. Anyway, if that's the case, then it's wrong and he should pay for it. Other than that I don't really give a fuck about his affair.

QFT. If he abused his office and used taxpayer money for plane trips and the morning after pill, than I say he needs to be thrown out. But if it was just him bangin' some hot chick in S. America on his own dime...than he can stay if the voters want him to stay.

I don't recall Edwards admitting to the affair during the campaign.

I don't even think Sanford should quit because of the affair. He should quit for lying to the public, misappropriating funds for personal use and mostly because the affair and aftermath have made him ineffective as a governor.

Have you been living on another planet or something? Republicans who screw up like this have resigned far more than Democrats who have screwed up. Mark Sanford is one of the rare ones.

senator larry craig, senator vitter come to mind as repubs who didn't resign. Ensign didn't quit. Neither did Sanford. Have ANY repubs quit due to sex scandal in last 2-3 years?

Let us not forget HOW exactly his fellow Congressmen and the rest of us learned about his situation in the first place? How was that? Oh right.... HE TOLD THEM. No one had any idea. He came forwarded and brought it out.

violated his job, period. I could care less if he used govt $ to fly to argentina to play video games - he was derelict in his duties.

clinton fucked around inside the OVAL OFFICE....hahah thats not what that room was meant for was it? I agree sanford should resign so should a host of others that have had personal scandels in govt. though
