It was originaly just ment to be a slang term to describe someone into female bodybuilding. I think that GETBIG is single-handedly responsible for co-opting the phrase, and including it to mean just a fan of bodybuilding in general.

P.S. Get off Kai's nuts...the guy is vastly overrated, (consdering his structure).
