Author Topic: CARANO VS CYBORG WHO YOU GOT? (Read 3059 times)

This is a tough one for me, I think that Cyborg is a straight puncher who is very strong, but Gina has a great clinch as well and solid kicks. Gina has to keep this to the outside and not let Carano push her back to the cage. I don't see this fight going to the ground unless Cyborg is hurt. I am going to take the underdog and hope that Gina's technique can be to much for Cyborg's strength. If Gina gets pinned up it's over!

P.S. dear god if Gina losses, don't let her face get to beat up.. Thanks!

Gina is bigger, stronger, and comes from a better camp. This isn't Cyborg's usual undersized opponent.

Gina by KO within two rounds. If it gets into the late rounds Gina will submit a gassed Cyborg.

Cyborg. She has loads of power, good direct hits with all limbs, and good aggression.

Carano. Decent power, but tends to swing a bit wide. She doesn't have the 'eye of the tiger', IMHO.

Both don't have the greatest ground game.

Looking at the training vids: Gina seems to be working on cardio. Cyborg is doing burst strength and some cardio.

Best strategy for Carano: Wear Cyborg out, then finish her. The ONLY thing that'd work short of decision. You do not have the power or will to knock Cyborg out.

Best for Cyborg: Dominate and smash Carano out quickly, nip all hope of resistance in the bud. Do not try to keep up with Carano on the running around the ring. You will lose.

Unfortunately, I think that politics is going to play a big part in this. I've also seen the possibility of a loss to pump up a rematch.

Hope I made some kind of sense.

Cyborg "outweighed" Gina by one pound at the weigh-in. In the words of the immortal Derrick Coleman, whoop-dee-damn-doo.

I guarantee Gina walks around at a heavier weight than Christiana, and Gina is taller.

As you are on a bodybuilding board, you should know that you don't measure strength by looking at someone's six pack or show muscles.

I believe Gina is stronger than Cyborg, and you will see it play out when Gina pushes Chris around the ring. You will especially notice this should Chris become gassed.

no need for a rematch....this was a shutout...you (not you literally) have to try to make a case for carano to even be in a rematch....this was a blowout imo.

Carano has piss poor cardio, no matter how much training she does. Maybe she worked too hard in her training camp she called "hell". Cyborg has a ground game, and cardio, and her striking is basically like a female Wanderlei in his prime on the juice.
