I kinda agree with this.....when a person has a pretty face and the going gets tough in a fight....I think subconsciously the fighter who is pretty or handsome thinks to him/herself "holy shit, this guy/girl is doing serious damage to my face".....they don't want cuts, bruises, etc to their face which could damage their looks and possibly cost modeling jobs and stuff like it in the future.... and I think this mindset seriously hampers their ability to stick it out in tough fights....

The ref was doing everything possible to get Gina out of the round. However when Cyborg was just pummeling her face dead-on relentlessly, he had to pull it. He did her a favor. Another 3-4 minutes of standing around and we would have seen beautiful Gina with blood and swelling. not pretty. She got the best outcome, all things considered.

And yeah, andreisdaman - I agree - at the end of the fight, Gina was probably most concerned with the $ she could lose with a borken tooth or cheekbone, not the fight itself. Fight was just a hype vehicle for her. Cyborg treated it like the fight was all that mattered.
