You do realize that what you posted is from the code of ethics, right?

You do realize that you have to read the whole segment and that the code of ethics is an integral part of the IFBB Pro Rules ?

I'm saying they're debatable....which is why they are seperated from the rules.

I quoted the exact rules from the IFBB Pro Rules including the Code of Ethics which is an integral part of the IFBB Pro Rules.

What exactly is your position in the IFBB and to which rules do you have to answer ? The Rules speak about Athletes, Officials and Judges, where do you come in ?

This is a messageboard, please answer the question Chic.

So, your position is that because its a message board, that you decided to post the code of ethics and the IFBB stance on drugs?

To answer your question, my position is that of IFBB athletes representative

Your position of IFBB athletes representative is clear, however the IFBB Pro Rules mention 3 different identities to which the rules apply to: Athletes, Officials and Judges.

What identity are you part of ?

And to answer your first question reread my first reply and the posts I quoted.

Your first post references what the IFBB stance is, and my reply which was that there hasn't been any test given in 2009.....you, had no stance or point other than posting the code of ethics....which is why I asked wht your point was....and still cant get a response

I'm obviously one of the athletes, as I'm not an official or judge

Here's what happened;

Tom Joad askes a question about the IFBB's drug policy

so the IFBB allows the use of steroids and other drugs in the IFBB Pro League?

As usual you avoid the subject and start spouting irrelevant information

The IFBB reserves the right to drug test, so far, no test has been given in 2009

I decide to post the IFBB Pro Rules and a small part of the Code of Ethics to clarify the stance of the IFBB Pro League.

And then you start self owning yourself as usual by answering questions with questions.

Let me correct you, he's a retard with no integrity.

From the IFBB Pro Rules, I highlighted the interesting bits

Rule 1 – Introduction

1.3 Code of Ethics:
The Code of Ethics, which forms an integral part of the Pro Rules, is a set of
beliefs that have been written to serve as guidelines for the way in which all
Members, be they Athletes, Judges or Officials, should strive to conduct
themselves as Members of the Pro League.

APPENDIX 1
CODE OF ETHICS
Athletes:
We, the Pro League Athletes, realizing that our conduct reflects on the good
name of the sport of bodybuilding, fitness and figure, and realizing the
responsibility thereby placed upon us, pledge ourselves:

1. To fulfill our responsibility to society, to other Athletes, Judges and
Officials of the Pro League.
2. To honour, dignify, and support the sport of bodybuilding, fitness and figure
by competing in the best condition and to the best of our ability, and by
being in top shape when giving an exhibition or a seminar.
3. To respect our opponents on equal terms in the spirit of friendly rivalry and
good sportsmanship.
4. To respect the Constitution and Pro Rules as well as the rules of
competition and to observe them honestly in cooperation with other
Athletes, Judges and Officials.

5. To accept the decisions of the Judges and Officials in the spirit of good
sportsmanship without descending to selfish recriminations, realizing that
these decisions have been made honestly, fairly, and objectively.
6. To assist the Pro League in the promotion of bodybuilding, fitness and
figure by acting as a goodwill ambassador of the sport, promoting the sport
in a positive manner, and protecting the good image and integrity of the
sport and the Pro League.

7. To work for the Pro League, not against it, in promoting its values, morals
and ethics.

8. To exercise our right of protest in a courteous, respectful manner, following
the proper chain of command.
9. To refrain from malicious gossip and rumour-mongering.
10. To refrain from personal attacks against the Pro League or any Member of
the Pro League, or against the IFBB or any member of the IFBB.
11. To continue striving for bodily perfection and correct moral principles.
12. To honour the special trust conferred upon us by our participation in, and by
our representation of, the Pro League and our country, at international
events, and to adhere to the standards of personal conduct expected of us.

13. To recognize the value of bodybuilding, fitness and figure and to promote
its future by serving as an example to inspire other people to participate.
14. To cooperate with our Officials in the development of high standards, both
moral and physical, for the sport of bodybuilding, fitness and figure and in
the progressive furtherance of the objects of the Pro League.
15. To oppose the use of banned substances and methods.
16. To refrain from any conduct that may be considered prejudicial.
17. To conduct ourselves at all times in a manner that reflects positively upon
the image of the sport of bodybuilding, fitness and figure, and the Pro
League and IFBB.

And here are Chic's views on the Code of Ethics, integral part of the IFBB Pro Rules

Thank you for the correction...they are in fact far more then just Expectations and Values, (though those terms fit as well), they are AN INTREGAL PART OF THE RULES!

What say you Chick?

Bob Chick is a major stalwart in the IFBB's ongoing war against drugs and illegal hormones. He has led many efforts to encourage his fellow IFBB pros to maintain their natural, drug-free status.  :P

Code #18.  Ignore Code of Ethics #1 thru 17.  do what you want (i.e. take drugs, kill people, fuck fruit, etc) As long as you as an IFBB member pays their dues on time.  Do not expect anything in return except a good time when you visit the front office
