I'm looking forward to it....theres only one or two people that are consensus pound for pound the best in the world...then theres everyone else....then after that you have 1-2 guys in each weight class that are serious contenders.then theres everyone else.....so not every fight can be the two best in the world....I think some people forget why they love this sport...the art of fighting and matching up different competition can still be fun to watch regardless if your watching a top 10 fighter or a top 100 fighter.

This fight is going to be an absolute bore. It will be interesting to see if Tito has anything left in the tank. Coleman is a legend, but he's wayyy the fuck past his prime.

If Tito wins, it will make the 205 division mildly more interesting, but thats it.

They can't find a better opponent for Tito than Mark Coleman?  Come on!  Coleman's fucking done.  Dana is throwing Tito a cupcake fight to make him "marketable" again now that he re-signed with the UFC.   ::)

Dude Im with you. I think this fight is moronic. However, if Tito does have something left, it would add some gas to an already stockpiled division.

Plus, you and I both know if he does well, how long is it going to be before Chuck comes out of retirement to have a big stupid overhyped TITO VS. LIDELL part three?

its sad how people diss these 2 guys who where pioneers and champions, mark was fighting back in the day with bare knuckle, no rounds, 4 to 5 fights a night, thats tough. i understand the guys werent as top notch as they are today but still, colemans still a warrior and fights with alot of heart. id like to see some of todays guys fight 4 or 5 fights in one night with bare knuckle, 12 or 15 minutes straight rd with overtime rds if needed and see how they make out. i know it mihght not mean anything to anyone but colemans got 2 little daughters to take care of and id say let mark fight if mark wants to fight, he always gives us his all in that cage and thats good enough for me.

x2 to everything here.these guys act like the only people that should fight are top title contenders. If that was the case you would see about 4-5 fights per year as a vast majority of fighters will never make it to be champion.and yet both these fighters were champs and dominate for a period in time....I love this sport and the fighters especially the ones that paved the way for the guys of today.I love watching the GSP's,Anderson Silva's,Machida types but those type fighters are not exactly a dime a dozen. So there for you will have some fights just for the entertainment & joy of watching this great sport>Something most on this thread can't seem to grasp.

I won't state my true view, but I will play devil's addvocate...

What about the few of us in this thread that don't want to see  Mark fight  anymore for the simple fact like you said he has two little girls to raise and be a part of their lives. look at the pounding that he suffered at the hands of Fedor. If  Tito or anyone else comes at Coleman full out, do you really think he can defend himself. Not taking anything away from Coleman, but a page, rashad, Lyoto, Rua, Tito, etc. could cause some  serious head/brain trauma if they took coleman deep into the 2nd or 3rd cause he has that much heart. I just think at a point as fans we have to put our foot down and let fighters know that they're time is up and that it is time to pass the torch. The best of the best  all  get  passed up by the next class in sports, MMA can not dodge this bullett just as every other sport.

no please state your true view....if your gonna use the age argument you better be consistante.other wise wheres every one with the concern for randy couture....he got his bell rung multiple times against nog and has had more hard fought battles than Coleman....that being said it's a moot point.I believe that MMA is the safest of the contact sports (Football, boxing etc)....the fights are almost always stopped early if anything...the boxers that have died in the ring usually take 12-15 Rd's of punishment...I believe the "were afraid for his safety"argument is not valid at all.besides he looked great in his last fight plus took Rua who is fighting for the title to the third rd.somthing rampage & lidell couldnt do. & let's face it he's dished out the punishment over the years way more than he's takin it...

All this being said I live in Columbus Ohio.I have a close friend that trains at Hammer house gym.I have met Coleman on numerous occasions.the dude has his head on straight & has did well for himself financially. So he's not doing this shit for the wrong reasons.like $,It's for the love of the sport & the desire to compete. You idiot's on here bashing him know little about either...I'm sure most of you guys favorite fighters are GSP,Anderson Silva, and those types.anyone not up to your imaginary MMA expert standards you deem unworthy to compete in the UFC I find that laughable.
