Other learning programs, like the one offered by the Monterey army language school or the UN, are tops but big bucks. Can get different programs through the California college systems. But for the money Rosetta Stones is very good. Uses the flash card approach with pictures and videos. If wanting to learn Spanish with RS, try tuning in Spanish tv and radio stations to learn faster with the program. If living in SoCal your going to pick up a little Spanish slang also. Some very hot Mexican bebes out here.
