What's going on with Glenn Beck. I have a possible conspiracy theory

Ok, this headlined again on yahoo this morning:

He's getting hit pretty hard for saying Obama is a racist.  This is where I'm perplexed.  Many others on Fox have also said Obama is a racist.  I've watched Glenn Beck off and on for quite a while and of all the crazy things he says and does, this really doesn't rank that high.  So why try to get Glenn off for a pretty common belief among the people working and commenting for Fox?  Leading up to this controversy over Glenn's comment, there were a few months were Glenn's antics got so strange, others working at Fox started to question it.  Now, if they are successful in getting Glenn off Fox, then they will have managed to do exactly what was done to Bill Maher in the exact same way and Maher has successfully used that for years.  What I'm wondering is if there has been some help from Fox execs in making this the means by which Glenn's show gets axed.  A way of getting rid of a clown and having the benefit of not being wrong for hiring him or responsibility for killing the show and the benefit of having the left do to Glenn what happend to Maher.  Anyway, seems there must be something else going on since what he's actually being attacked on is minor compared to other things he's said and many others at Fox have also said it.

Because Beck goes a lot deeper into the true nature of who infests the WH and he is a lot closer to the truth than the idiots like Vanity, the Leperchon, Hush, etc.

Not sure you understood where I was going because to apply this as a reply means you're saying he's getting targeted by Fox because he's at the core of what is wrong with the whitehouse while the rest of Fox is clueless including management.  Or is that what you're saying?

What's happening with Glenn Beck is that we have a person who is most likely predisposed to mental health issues (his mother and brother committed suicide) and addictive behaviour (he's a recovering alchoholic/addict) gradually losing his marbles on national TV.

I think the companies who advertised on his show at first liked his manic energy but now they realize that he's fucking unstable and they see his growing mental illness as more a liability than a benefit.

I believe the latest company to bail is Wal-Mart

No, I'm wondering if they helped somehow in facilitating an effort to have advertisers bail from his show.  The conspiracy is that they want to get rid of the guy thats antics even has others at Fox asking WTF in a way as to not show that they made a mistake by hiring him.  So they get to can Beck and Blame the Left for employing the same thing that was done against Bill Maher.  Can him and get political benefits from it.  He's said things that are much more crazy, yet there was no effort or certainly no successful effort to get advertisers to bail.  Yet now they are very successful with something that many others at Fox have also said?  Something smells fishy and I'm just trying to see what and why.

possibly, but where is the outrage for shows at Fox that repetitiously have Ann Coulter on and Ann is just as outrageous and easily says just as controversial things and probably more so.  Ann is a favorite on Hannity and Hannity was one of the biggest pushing Obama as a racist.  I agree that Beck is ill.

I think Murdoch likes the "schtick" of the far right talking heads but they are probably just coming to realize that Beck is borderline (or over the line) mentally ill and that makes him dangerous and I can seem him truly losing it one night in a way that they just can't recover from.    They're trying to find a way to show him the door without having to publicly admit the problem

Fox probably likes the ratings, but dislikes him personally. 

I like Beck because he is honest about his beliefs.  I think mostly he is spot on, even if his delivery is over the top.

I think becks' delivery is off sometimes, but his message to me is far deeper than Vanity's or the Leperchons.  I dont watch TV, but catch his radio show,  which is usually spot on.

Look, Fox, MSNBC, CNN, all position themselves accordingly, but really dont go over too many lines. 

Fox does its thing, MSNBC does its thing, etc. 

However, do you ever see Vanity going deep into things like Beck does?  Vanity has his little game and thats it, same with Oreilly.

Beck is a loose cannon and they dont like that.  Its a controlled message and of all the players, Beck is the least controlled.
