I've watched this a couple times now and I'm not impressed at all

First, when I see someone who can't control their anger I am not impressed.

He seems preloaded with anger to me.

Why does he make his little speech and then practically run away?

Let's ask him a few questions and find out if he knows why he's angry or if he just knows he angry

Hopefully he'll make the rounds of the right wing shows and we'll find out if he's just another grossly misinformed person on the left who has swallowed the right wing talking points and vomited back the anger that they were designed to elicit.

I'd bet he's been angry for a long time before the health care debate started

Why wouldn't he be angry if he's against the bailouts, the take over of the auto industry, the takeover of some parts of the financial industry, etc...Tim Geithner himself said they had to do offensive things to save the economy.

he would be if there was actually a takeover of the auto industry, some parts of the financial industry etct..

he could be angry about the bailouts of AIG but first he should look at the details and figure out the right person to direct his anger

he could also stand there after his rant and have a dialogue

I'd also be more impressed if he was calm and could express himself without seeming like he's about to lose it

showing anger is a weakness in most circumstances

You make some good points about the anger issue but I think most of it has to do with nerves. You know, standing in front of a bunch of strangers.

There was no instances of, "We gave you money now you'll do this"?

I thought he was a marine and presumably saw combat

I'm more impressed when someone who is under stress or angry can remain calm

yep

that's how it looked then

it still looks that way to me

I need to know why he is so angry and why he can't contain his anger

and why he is directing it at this guy

first he self identified as the type of angry people that others are calling brownshirts

then he accused Pelosi of being a Nazi

he seems really stable and fully grounded in reality

Lets see - This guy puts goes overseas and dodges bullets for you and me.

He makes it home after defending the constitution for you and me only to see the filth and scum in the WH and Congress doing what they are doing.

I would be a little pissed off to Straw.

I have no doubt

your constant uniformed rants are not impressive either

Again, I'd be more impressed if this guy could stand there are speak and have a dialogue rather than just get all worked up and scream and then run away rather than having a dialogue with the congressman

You know what Straw - anger is a valid human emotion.

GFY if you want to deny this Marine Corp. Vet his five minutes of venting.

He has done a million more things for this country than you did.

He should be allowed to rant for two hours if he likes after serving his country.

I don't think volunteering to serve and being compensated for it (including free healthcare) gives him the right to rant like an idiot but I can see why you think it would.

Since the guy had no desire to have a conversation maybe we should just have town hall meetings and put up cardboard cut outs of Obama, Pelosi etc.. and all the angry, borderline nutjobs can just line up and scream at them for 5 minutes

Maybe politicians should try to be somewhat available to their constituants other than at election time, and just maybe people would be more calm. You try to call your rep what are the odds they are going to talk to you? about 1%, you send an e-mail/letter you get a from letter/e-mail in response thanking you for your concern. Seems to me they get their representatives, by the way who work for us in a setting where they have to respond, sometime emotion gets the better of people.

sorry man, I jus don't buy that argument.

If this guy is a combat veteran I'd expect him to be able to remain calm under pressure (assuming he was nervous by talking in front of what was clearly a friendly crowd).  This guy had his chance to express his views and have a dialogue.  Instead he ranted about Nazi's and people keeping their hands (or idealogy) off his kids and then he turned around and practically ran away.

I'm not impressed
