Afghanistan Pics (for the ladies)
« on: August 24, 2009, 06:45:05 PM »
Here are some pics from Afghanistan. I'm working as a clerk for an Embedded Training Team. I also oversee the interpreters for my unit.

I do, however, roll out in a convoy every day through the streets of Kabul, as a gunner or driver.

Thank you for serving garebear.

Thanks for these pics.

Was the vote pic from the recent election?  I think I heard there wasn't a big turn-out because of threats from the Taliban that they'd cut off the fingers of voters.

What are the ceremony pics?

Have you seen Brothers At War?

Yes, that was last week's election. The turnout was low. I don't blame the people for being afraid to go. Don't know if I would. We're all hoping the results are good or we have to do it again. I was as close as I want to be to two car bombs that week. It absolutely sucked.

The ceremonies are for the Afghan National Army soldiers. One was an M16 training class and the other was promotions.
I have not seen brothers at war.
I'm a red head and the malaria pills we take make us more succeptible to sunburn, so I go through a lot of sunblock.

Dude very proud of you! I served in many theaters and I know what you are dealing with I was Navy EOD for a few years until I was injured.

Good on you and those you serve with and may God bring you home safely to your family!

EOD has got to be one of the most nerve-racking jobs in the world. Thanks for your service and sorry to hear about your injury.

I'm glad we just call you guys when we find some UXO, I don't ever want to deal with that stuff.

Six months to go!
