Photography Advice....
« on: August 26, 2009, 07:15:44 PM »
Are there any keen digital photographers on here?.. If so i need some advice please.

Can you advise me on a good but not stupidly expensive editing system for photos on your P.C.

Are there viable alternatives to photoshop?

I tend to take landscapes/seascapes.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

For open-source, try The GIMP. Very powerful and somewhat similar to PS.

For something a little simpler and also FREE, try Paint.NET.

Both have good communities around them.
Almost always, yes.

Download PS from piratebay.org.
No point in using other lesser apps.

When do we meet up north for a Riverside county training session? Haven't heard the bell yet.

Gimp is quite the resource man, not a lot of people know about it, but its great open source software.

I was just at the Gold's Temecula tonight.  Let me know what day works, I'll meet you there.
I've been training/eating like garbage these days.

Plenty of sites devoted to photography. You'd have better luck posting this question on one of those.

Lightroom for working with RAW files.

But there is nothing that can stand next to PSCS3.
