For the first time in my life, I have been serious about diet and training for 2 straight months.  Lifting 5 days a week, drinking 3 whey shakes a day plus meals.  Looking like a grown man for the first time.

And sure enough, at age 33, big old bald spot appears.  Buzzed last night.

DHT goes up, and the baldness bullet in the chamber goes off.  Sucks.  But what can you do?

Finasteride/Dutasteride + Minoxidil.

If that stuff doesn't work, ask Chick.

I looked into fina, proscar.  But it triples your chances of prostate cancer and lowers your friskiness.  I decided against it.

I'm using rogaine.  It's given me a nice peach fuzz look after a month now.  So I'm hopeful.

all the men in my family on both sides are bald.  I put it off longer than any of them.  Aside from consistent lifting and diet for the first solid 8 weeks of my life, I don't know what else changed in the last 2 months.

Propecia is the same as Proscar (Finasteride), only a lower dose (1mg vs 5mg).

Sometimes you're just fucked in the proverbial gene pool like that.
I started getting thin @ 21, and been shaving about 2yrs now. Once I did shave it, I thought "Why didn't I do this sooner?"
Sometimes stress is the biggest factor, and if that is indeed true, that's the reason why I lost mine! Uncle, Dad, everyone on both sides of my family has a full head of hair, except me. Gramps is thin, but has more hair at 80, than I did at 27. Oh well, that's life.
It's what you make it, and if you worry about not having hair, than the others around you will worry about you not having hair.

You got older. Your body is just following the genetic code that's been layed down at inception. Some guys have great hair and then in, like, 6 months it's all gone.  :-\

I remember one time I asked a buddy of mine that was bald, if he thought I was thinning and/or losing my hair. He said "nope." About two years later it really started to show. Later he told me that he lost all his hair within 6 months, yet mine took a period of years to even show.
Everyone loses at their own rate. I never realized that, till I went through it!

Wrong. Proscar is used to shrink the prostate by lowering DHT. Recent studies show Proscar also reduced PSA levels in men. Since PSA levels INCREASE with prostate cancer, Proscar's use can prevent early detection.
