ok, let's settle this once and for all

no one gave Wurzelbacher shit for asking the questions.  They gave his shit for lying about his background and for being too stupid the comprehend that his taxes would only go up on that small amount over 250k and since his taxes under that amount would actually go down he would actually be saving money.

Also, Wurzelbacher is the one who said the business "makes" 260k to 270k a year.  Did he distinguish between gross receipts (revenue) and net taxable income.   I didn't see it.  The assumption was that he was talking net but I suspect he doesn't even know the difference and couldn't read a tax return to save his life.

BTW - he started to get shit only after his personal story unfolded (not really a plumber, not really buying the business, delinquent on taxes, formerly only welfare, etc...)

He got shit on for being a liar and a fraud and also being the poster child for DUMB and ANGRY

Do you get it now?

He didn't get shit for merely asking a question

JTP is not the issue!

The answer Obama gave, and the reasoning behind the tax hike, is the issue.

The "spread the wealth" comment is the issue, not whether JTP would get more taxes or not.

Joe the Plumber exposed Obama for the socialist he is.

The entire MO of commies and socialists is to hide their true agenda.

Didn't JTP deliver some BS story about how he was about to buy a company?  His original story ended up being a hypothetical.

he was a tool used by the mccain campaign.

if he's not the issue then why did you post it in response to my answer that Palin,Plumber and your spirtitual leader Beck were not being crucified for asking questions.

That was my response and you responded by posting Joe the Douche asking a question and then being too dumb to understand the answer

Because the left attacked him mercilessly for getting Obama to reveal his true intentions.

The "spread the wealth" comment got a ton of bad press for Obama and they had to discredit JTP in order to discredit the nonsense answer Obama gave.

god you are dense

they attacked him for being a fraud

Obama answered the question in a way that any average 4th grader could understand

only the small amount over 250k (let's assume we're talking about taxable income) would be taxed at the higher amount and that marginal increase would only be 3% (that's an increase in taxes of $600)

meanwhile he would be taxed at a lower rate on the income below 250k (I assume you understand how the graduated tax system works) and would probably wind up paying less over all taxes even with that bump on the small amount over 250k

if you think Joe the Bullet Headed Moron got attacked for aksing a question or revealing Obama's secret socialist agenda you're just as delusional as Beck

another one of his Not becks finest moments as 333386 calls them, I just call them lies

Glenn Beck and the Government’s Fictional Plot To Hijack Your Computer

Earlier this week Fox News host Glenn Beckdid a segment on the Government’s “Cash for Clunkers” program in which he “exposed” the plans of wicked, crazy, frightening people to [seize] all of your personal and private information.

Warning his users do not try this at home, Beck attempted to sign into the website to show his users a warning box which Fox quoted as saying the following:

This application provides access to the DoT CARS system. When logged on to the CARS system, your computer is considered a Federal computer system and is the property of the U.S. government… Any or all uses of this system and all files on this system may be intercepted, monitored, recorded, copied, audited, inspected, and disclosed to authorized CARS, DoT, and law enforcement personnel, as well as authorized officials of other agencies, both domestic and foreign.

By all accounts this is a pretty serious looking disclaimer and it appears to give the federal government license to take all manner of liberties on the user’s computer. The only problem with Beck’s expose and allegation is that he’s lying about it.

Beck pitches the entire story as if regular consumers are going to log on to the cars.gov website and, in the course of their use, encounter this message and blithely click “ok,” thereby giving the government’s jackbooted thugs the right to check out their financial spreadsheets and boost a copy of their porn collection.

That’s not going to happen.

An astute viewer of Beck’s expose might notice that the website that Beck is browsing is blue whereas the cars.gov website is green. This is no trick of the studio lights; though he never mentions it, what Beck is demonstrating only occurs on the dealer side of the website. The consumer side – the side that anyone who is not an automotive dealer will access – is green. What Beck demonstrates is not even something that a casual user of the site could stumble upon; they would have to go looking for it.

Indeed, regular users of the system can not even find the text Fox flashes up on the screen by going to www.cars.gov and following links. Users must first point their browser at a section of the site intended only for car dealers – http://www.cars.gov/index.php/dealersupport – and proceed from there. Clicking “Submit Transaction” and then “I agree,” from within this semi-private section of the site takes the user to an entirely different website, though one still administered by the Department of Transportation. Here the user may read the frightening text that Fox quoted and contextualized as a waiver for seizing all of your personal and private information.

And those that do read it will likely find that it does not say what Beck says that it says. The disclaimer in its full form reads as follows: [emphasis added]

This application provides access to the DoT CARS system. When logged on to the CARS system, your computer is considered a Federal computer system and is the property of the United States Government. It is for authorized use only. Users (authorized or unauthorized) have no explicit or implicit expectation of privacy.

Any or all uses of this system and all files on this system may be intercepted, monitored, recorded, copied, audited, inspected, and disclosed to authorized CARS, DoT, and law enforcement personnel, as well as authorized officials of other agencies, both domestic and foreign. By using this system, the user consents to such interception, monitoring, recording, copying, auditing, inspection, and disclosure at the discretion CARS or the DoT personnel.

That paragraph break is important; because of it, the disclaimer does not give the government permission to look at the files on the user’s system but rather warns the user that the government will be looking at the files on the application’s system, specifically those files submitted by the user. Such text is boilerplate on many government web applications and a quick Google Search turns up more than 800 instances of the “Any or all uses of this system and all files on this system…” verbiage on a collection of public and private sites.

Far from the malicious and conniving scenario that Beck presents, the federal government is merely warning the dealers to whom it will be writing checks that their submissions are subject to scrutiny.

As usual, Beck’s hysterical rantings have no basis in reality or fact and as usual the same dedicated collection of wing-nuts and conspiracy theorists have picked up the story as gospel truth without even the slightest degree of skepticism or doubt. We should expect no less of Fox, which has fought for and won its right to lie to the American people, but if we trust in liars we have no one to blame but ourselves.

The sad thing is, why do today's so-called conservatives run to the defense of loony tune morons like Glen Beck, Joe The "I'm Actually Unemployed and on Welfare" Plummer, and Sarah "I Can See Russia From My House" Palin? Why aren't they embarrassed by these individuals? Glen Beck is WAY out in Nutville with much of what he believes.

When did the lovers of the GOP become so extreme that they lost all sense or respect for intelligent members of their party or serious and sober political discourse? Where are the repubes that can rise to the occasion and at least attempt bipartisan compromise on at least some issues, and bring some fresh innovative ideas of their own on others? It's fascinating and sobering to realize conservative stalwarts like Goldwater and Richard "Southern Strategy" Nixon would not be far enough to the right for the base of the GOP in 2009.  :P

Bill Clinton brought out hatred, bitterness and anger by the right-wingers when he assumed power, but no doubt a BLACK democrat in the White House has been just too much to bear. Now they want to "take their country back."  ::) Good luck with that. As America becomes increasingly "brown" these people are going to become increasingly desperate, hostile, and depressed.

By the way, there is a interesting trend in the education levels of many of these right-wing retards hosting talk shows.

Glen Beck: Glenn overcame a difficult childhood but ultimately graduated from high school in Bellingham, Washington in 1982.  Though he graduated, Glenn himself admits that he "spent more time in the parking lot than in class."  Glenn never attended college.

Rush Limbaugh: Limbaugh graduated from Cape Central High School, in 1969. His father and mother wanted him to attend college, so he enrolled at Southeast Missouri State University. He dropped out after two semesters and one summer; according to his mother, "he flunked everything", even a modern ballroom dancing class. As she told a reporter in 1992, "He just didn't seem interested in anything except radio."

Sean Hannity: Hannity graduated in 1980 from St. Pius X Preparatory Seminary high school, located in Uniondale, New York. Hannity dropped out of New York University and Adelphi University.

Hmmmmm...What a surprise.  ::)

Whoa, and how can I forget "Bush's Brain," the mastermind of the Repube Party for the last eight years?

Karl Rove: Attended nearly half a dozen colleges without getting a degree.  :D  :P

the right wing clearly depends on the stupidity of their sheeple.

How else are they going to keep them afraid (Beck's practically scared out of his mind) and continuing to vote against their own self inerest

Straw - do you really want me to post "How Obama got Elected" again or the youtube videos of typical Obama voters?

How about the Florida town hall or the lady at the stadium with the gas and mortgage bill?

Seriously, do you want to go there?

That's because Rove wasn't running anyone's campaign in '08 (nor was he running himself).

yet somehow his research materials kept showing up in the hands of mccain staffers, with "Rove & Associates" stamped right on it.
