Socialism isn't necessarily bad in itself but it requires a group of people who all work for the common good and all contribute. It doesn't work when you have a lot of people looking for handouts and entitlements.
Socialism could work in a small population of healthy, hard working people who have true respect for themselves and others. In the US, too many people are trying to find ways to beat the system, do as little work as possible, be entitled to goods and services with little contribution and have substandard respect for others and I'll be damned if you take more from us that do work hard and sacrifice to give handouts to lazy disrespectful people. I'm all for immigrants who come to this country to work, contribute and make a better life for themselves if they respect the country and want to be a real part of it. Immigrants looking for handouts and to push their customs and religions upon the country without respecting our laws and customs can f-ck off.
