How can I loose weight? I always tell people the same thing stop drinking soda and eating junk food, and burn more calories than you eat... then they look at me like I'm retarded and say something like well I don't have time to work out everyday and I like soda too much... It's so simple but people don't want to hear that.  People are dumb.

Everyone knows a guy who has a brother that has an uncle who's cousins sister in-law is co-workers with a guy who's great grandfather is friends with a fella who's niece is married to a guy that's 4x your size. Even if this mystery person was 4x my size, how is this statement going to improve the conversation? I mean wtf do they expect you to say?

its great when u actualy know the uncles aunties next door neighbour who is 6x bigger than you, and he's just a less than average gym rat, unfit to lace your shoes...

so when they ask you how to diet and then cut you down mid advice with ' big whats his name says all u need to do is drink 4 full fat pints of milk a day to build pure muscle etc etc, then hit you again with, i think YOU should start drinking more full fat milk'

then your lefty there open mouthed at whats just taken place!!!!

( u can exchange milk with rabits, ice cream, raw eggs  or training 3hrs per day etc etc )

Funny. While some people are looking to pack on muscle, some people are afraid of it.

I don't believe it's fear so much as a very convenient excuse.

"Oh, I don't want to get TOO big - that's the only reason I don't exercise."

As if...

Even if they knew how to train & eat, most of them would probably be lucky to put on 10 lbs. of muscle before quitting.
But they'll point to a picture of Jay and say, "I'm afraid of looking like that."

FFS.
You could never look like that even if you wanted to. ::)

If it all comes down to burn more calories than you eat, then why the need to completely stop eating junk food?

I was using the gym machine in my apt.   I had to use the whole stack (20 plates) for the chest press.   The guy "working in" mumbles , "you must be on some good juice to push that whole stack"!

Lol I had almost the opposite; I moved the stack doing rows one day and the only other guy in there starts talking about how he used to juice and I need to work on my diet (he had a good lean 30 lbs on me and was at about the same strength as me.  I think he was out of practice)
