there are many explainations for it, however in a scientific way its when your brain downclocks to a lower frequency, but in a spiritual way where your spirit body/spirit/karmic force/soul/etc is more attune to the real reality and you are more attune to these dimentions/realities/etc

do some research on the brain and the brain sections and what they do and how they work before you make stupid "explainations" about science...

this site keeps me entertained thats for sure. but i am continually amazed at how many stupid people there are.

the body and brain is nothing more than a vesel, an avatar if you will. We chose it and use it before discarding it for our next life.
