His dissertation is due very soon, so he took about 3 months off to work on it. He'll be back in a few weeks.

That's such a silly excuse. I have to learn like a MoFo myself these days and still can be here for at least half an hour a day and make 10 posts if I want to. Nobody studies/writes/thinks 24 hours per day, you need breaks in between as well, and when you already sit at your desk why can't you stop by and log in on getbig for a few minutes. ::)
