You do know that you have one life, and that the quality of this life is strongly related to your average emotional state.

Religious thinking requires several leaps of faith to be accepted. Proving anything besides the fact that you know you = aware right now = practically impossible (try it!), and religion makes assumptions that is just as realistic as the thought: "Reality is actually made up of flying penises" (again: prove Debussey wrong).
