Savage fired?

Michael Savage, an independent syndicated radio commentator, has been severed from KNEW, the important San Francisco outlet for his Savage Nation. The station issued a terse statement: "Here's your no-spin direct answer; we have decided to go in a different philosophical and ideological direction, featuring more contemporary content and more local information. The Savage Nation does not fit into that vision."

It's a shocker that he lasted as long as he did in San Fran.

He is interesting at times, but yes, lately he has just been rambling about nothing, insulting callers, insulting his audience and talking about Italian food and the lima beans he ate the night before.

  Man, I hope this turns out to be a rumor.

  Edit: I just checked KNEW's website and it looks like it's true.  >:( It's just one station, but he has lots of fans in the Bay area. I hope this doesn't affect his ratings too much.

I listen to Levin's podcast every day.  His tribute to September 11, 2001 was superb.   

7 million listeners and counting!
