IFBB Pro bodybuilder king Kamali has reached a "new five-year sponsorship deal" with Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), according to Riichard Macorris of the Dubai bodybuilding federation. The deal sees Etihad will gain traction among US based consumers.  “ethihad strongly believes that sponsoring a well known US Athlete will help increase sales in the market." The Deal is "believed to be worth [$2M] dirham over five years." The partnership will "include tours to the UAE and South Africa. "Etihad remains committed to building a world wide brand", and signing King kamali is the first step in realizing that goal"



Wow incredible , the deal will pay kamali 2,000,000 dirham, or about 550,000 dollars over 5 years..110,000 dollars per year.

I didn't know that king Kamali had such a huge fan base in Dubai.

i knew bodybuilding was big in Dubai, but this is the largest bodybuilding contract ever signed by a bodybuilder i believe...

If thats true, thats an awesome deal.  I'm seeing more Airlines companies coming over to the US and getting involved!  Qatar Airways for example are now one of the main sponsors of the Washignton Redskins!

Yeah I knew about Emirates airlines, but that actually makes sense because soccer is actually played in the middle east.  But the Washington Redskins?  Football is practically unheard of outside of North America, so I was really surprised about that!

Qatar it is said to be safest of all the gulf states for westerners and investments. my university, Georgetown, has a school of foreign service there. and i believe Dan Snyder, the amusement park impresario and owner of the Washington Redskins is building a theme park in Qatar

I spent a month in Qatar because our company opened a division there and I was overseeing the expansion.  Qatar is like a baby Dubai, great opportunities there for sure.  And yes I knew they had direct flights from Doha to Dulles!
