A very exciting time of my life
« on: September 16, 2009, 08:33:42 PM »

This was a time in Wrestling that I'll never forget. That Flair/Hogan match in MSG was so exciting. I cannot tell you how crazy that place was going. That was a Wrestlemania main event match right there. MSG, Hogan, Flair, Perfect, Bobby, Hepner, Finkel, and VKM. I've seen some great matches there. This one was pretty special. Especially after Hulkster just lost the belt because of Flair. Total goosebumps!

Good stuff indeed. Lol..."don't be ashamed at those butterflies rumbling in your stomach"....gotta love Flair. He has the best promos. You really would enjoy his 3 disc dvd, Chef.

At the 2:45 mark of part one of the Hogan/Flair match, on the right side of the screen, you can see a light skinned black guy in the front row.  He's been in the front row of every WWE event at the Garden for the past 25 years. You can also see a much older version of him in the ECW Cena vs Van Dam clip that someone posted.

We used to play on the same softball league and I once asked him how he always managed to get front row seats. He just said, "I have a connection."

You should ask him to hook you up with tickets  :)

Everytime I have gone to MSG that guy was always there wearing a Hot Rod shirt.
By the way I wanted to ask you out of curiosity....

Who won that house show match with Hogan vs Flair?? I never saw that.

I saw that guy every single time I went to the Garden. He always wore a HotRod shirt. I'm surprised they never gave him a job? Remember when Hillybilly Jim first got into Wrestling by always sitting first row. This dude would be perfect as a guest host because so many people recognize him. That pic is a great find!

I am pretty sure that was all a work with Hillbilly Jim.  Wikiepedia says he debuted as a pro in 1975.  He was a biker character named Harley Davidson in some other territory.

Not sure, he hasn't been around for a while now.  Hope he's OK.

Maybe "Killer" Karl Kox signed a WWE developmental deal  :)  :)  :)

Now that's "cool".

That'd be awesome!  Although I don't think his "I just cracked one off" catchphrase would work in the current PG climate.    :(
