Trained chest at Gold's Venice this morning. First time at the Mecca in several months. Here are some pictures. The 1st picture is of some pretty flowers in the Santa Monica Mountains. The 2nd picture is kind of the same as the 1st picture.

there are no flowers in the Santa Monica Mountains at this time of year. We get no rain between May and October. Wild flower season here is March, April, and if you're lucky May.

Not only are Timfogarty's flower pictures very nice, his climate and agricultural information is absolutely correct. I took those flower pictures in May. The Santa Monica Mountains were dry and flowerless yesterday and today. Sunset in the Santa Monica mountains.

You can work out any day but you have to be lucky to capture flowers with the best light, etc.

Hibiscus bloom all year round in Sydney. Lots of amazing colours, too.

The Canon G10 is great for closeups of flowers. Here is what the Hibiscus stamens look like. I was surprised to see the spheres because it looks like a powder.
