Why Dorian was Unsymmetrical!..
« on: September 19, 2009, 06:20:58 AM »
Because he was not doing the same number of reps for both sides in the one hand exercises!!.. starting from minute 8:26 he did 8 reps for his left arm (including 2 forced reps) and then 9 reps for his right (including only one forced rep)!!..

this was of course to tease dorian's boys :P.. but frankly speaking blood & guts is a good training video and for those who didnt see before it's uploaded now in 6 parts on youtube..

symmetry has a couple of meanings some people equate symmetry with a small waist & hips and small joints A'la Flex Wheeler & Ronnie , it also encompasses muscular balance & proportion and symmetry also means the right & left sides are exactly the same which isn't true in nature

So according to you dorian was unsymmetrical in both cases ;D

But he very often posed unsummetrically.

No not quite

Bev Francis : Bodybuilder's phsyique you most admire ?

The man Dorian Yates , his combonation of size and shape makes for an awesome physique , unlike a lot of big guys he's not a load of massive parts just thrown together , His symmetry is almost perfect , Everything is in proportion , no weak bodyparts .

mind you she's an IFBB judge again more to symmetry than what you think

All that matters is that he went to failure on both arms. You obviously don't understand the concept of the force of a muscular contraction in relation to the volume of muscle around a joint; Dorian had a torn left arm by this point.

sure the point is to reach failure with both arms but still this shows that he had one side stronger than the other.. by this time his left biceps only was torn and this is a triceps movement so i dont think his torn left biceps was affecting his triceps strength!!..

You clearly don't understand how the biceps and triceps act as antagonists to each other in their respective contractions.
