That's the one. Crazy how much he brought up his legs from 98 to 99.

yup. he was 15 pounds bigger in 99 with even better conditioning. especially in the quads.

this is another thing ND loves to deny because his go-to man Peter MgGough claimed ronnie was softer in 99 than in 98.

and thats all ND knows- quotes refuted by real life. ::)

I suggest you take your beef up with Ronnie Coleman.

from his seminar following his 99 win:

I was almost 15 pounds heavier than last year, with a little bit better conditioning than last year.

That's true. He was 249 lb in 98 and 257 lb in 99. In fact, in the Battle for the Olympia 99 where he looks ridiculously cartoonish, he says that, "Last year I was 248, this year I'm 258 - right about 10 lb heavier" (although it was actually 8 lb).

And yes, he was drier and more conditioned in 98 compared to 99, where he was probably 95% as conditioned as the former year, but much more impressive looking cause he was bigger, fuller and had greater sweeps, not to mention no gyno.

Well, Ronnie was never exactly the smartest kid in town.

He also said that being white helped Jay to defeat him (which he denied afterwards after 1000s of people have read it on prosource).

I guess you have to take it up with Ronnie

Q ] There are those who feel you were at your best when you competed lighter, which for you was in the low 270's, and those who say you were best in the 290's. Was there a particular look you presented that you preferred over the others?
dot

Number one. That one was incredible to me. It (Ronnie's first Olympia win in 1998) always will be and nothing will ever take the place of that one. Everything was just spot on for that show.

Ronnie is right when you want him to be and when he proves you wrong he's to be dismissed epic hypocrisy , while you're at it fan-boy take this up with Ronnie

Special Ed : Ronnie of Dorian competed in 1998 would you have smoked him?

Ronnie Coleman : NO I think he would have kept on winning as long as he competed I don't think he would have lost.

aken out of FLEX nov 1999, page 90.  interview by jim schmaltz with ronnie before the 99 Olympia.

Jim:  What would have happened last year if Dorian Yates (recently retired winner of 6 straight Mr. Olympias) had competed?

Ronnie:  Dorian would have won again.

Jim: You think so?

Ronnie:  I know so.  Dorian has a big physique - hard- and he's been the man to beat, and its hard to knock the champion off the block.  He's a big guy and has a lot going for him.
