if i'm trying to lose bodyfat, but not weight or muscle....
« on: September 20, 2009, 07:03:57 AM »
as far as diet should i keep my protein high and my carbs low? like 1 to 1.5 grams of protein for my weight and 1 gram of carbs for my weight as opposed to when bulking 1.5 to 2 grams of carbs per bodyweight?  no carbs after say 6 or 7 p.m. stuff like that? what carbs should i be taking in that some carbs are better than others meaning low glycemic and complex. even in that realm are some complex carbs (veggies)better when trying to lose bodyfat than other complex carbs (rice, etc.)

want to get down to 13-15 percent or so bodyfat, right now i'm 18 to 20 %! but i don't want to lose weight to do this!

thanks in advance for the expert opinions!

How can you NOT lose weight?

the only way you wouldn't lose weight is if you gained one pound of muscle for every pound of fat you lost. That we be like... miraculous.

If you manage to do it you could write a best seller.

Focus less on your weight and more on the results.
There is a book called burn the fat feed the muscle.  Google it.

Something that worked for me was eating 6 times / day every 3 hours.
Each meal was small and had low carbs.  Here are some example foods.
I would combo these into roughly 300-400 calories / meal

Egg Whites
Canned Tuna
Chicken Thighs
Olive Oil
Microwaved Spinich
Microwaved Broccli
Old Fashioned OatMeal

Simple and cheap
Really just give it at try.  Eat at
6AM, 9AM, 12PM, 3PM, 6PM, 9PM, Sleep and repeat

ha ha..that is a fabulous book actually...pretty much everything in a nutshell there for life.

I used it also...same deal cut my meals down, 6 times a day small, clean..etc,etc and even included a cheat day in there...worked like a charm.
