Levrone & Demayo are perfect examples that it all comes down to genetics... you either have it or you don't. That is what defines us as individuals... the drugs we all take... the genetic response to training and juicing however is what makes the difference.

I can't believe how great his quads were in 1991/1992. He also packed some serious mass back then, which seemed to disappear until about 1997. Quality all the way. I think he weighed 233 or 236 pounds for the 1991 Nationals. To think he claims to weigh the same now...haha.

I was looking at this old thread. It is a shame that Demayo got caught up in street drugs. It seems that steroids can serve as a gateway to harder drugs

demayo won the juniors, and levrone won the nationals and pro card. in his interview after he said 'I just wanted to make an impact at the juniors, but for the nationals I actually rode the bike for half an hour, three times a week.'

I was doing the Canadian nationals at the same time, and I was on the bike three hours a day.

Paul had severe pain in his knees and used nubain to stand the brutal workouts. It soon got out of the market and he had to start using heroin as a replacement. From there to some emotional instability issues he started do decay.
Although he hadn't win any major titles in bodybuilding he will always be a legend in the sport.

He's got a point though. Once you inject steroids a few times a week, it's not that big of a leap to start injecting drugs
