Anyone ever stand in front of non-qualified judge(s)?

I competed in (I think) ANPPC Natural USA in 1995.

One of the judges was Myron Guyton of the New England Patriots.

He was brought in as a 'Celebrity Judge'.

I saw him repeatedly asking judges near him for instruction/direction.

He did not know what he was doing.

 I compete in Illinois. Illinois NPC judges are basically a table full of schmoes and ass kissing wannabee's who don't even compete.
