Same issues as others who are getting raided.  If the compounds that some of the manufacturers are in a shady area, hence...

What we need is a clear list of which products are like that, not go raid some company or manufacturer and then let the stores, distributors and other retail outlets worry about it.

Kinda like buying a cold medicine in Indiana, and then trying to buy another one in less than 7 days.  You can get arrested for that.

In any case, a statement from bodybuilding.com should be coming soon.

Interesting timing though...

Apparently they received warning letters from the FDA about which products were banned.  Why would they then keep selling them?  They would be begging for government attention.

There were open solicitations and they had an AAS board specifically for trafficking anabolic steroids, they were selling prohormore and they had reps that were running around screaming we have the best steroids, get them before they are seized.

It wasn't just me it was a lot of people that warned Ryan about this matter but he and his staff failed to listen to anyone.  I guess with all the money rolling in, it was hard to resist

Whatever warning letters they got, or any distributor gets, they comply with.  Simple as that.  The problem is that on some items, there is no warning letters, and in this case, it looks like they just went into there and started to check every item they think is a pro-hormone.   Bodybuilding.com does not sell steroids - they are pro-hormones.

The problem is that many of us would like a simple place where we can check on products.

It is easier to go after the distributor or store instead of the manufacturer.

If the FDA wanted these products to be gone, all they needed to do with give a site saying 'These products are considered steroid like pro-hormones and should not be sold'.  Then, they would be removed from the stores, sites, etc.

It is much easier to go in with a bang, raid the retail stores outlets, and create a brew-ha-ha with the media than actually taking care of the problem.

They did it the right way with ephedra a few years back.  They sent a warning letter to all, posted on the website, give a list of products, and said any items that contain this compounds or this brand name after this date will be considered illegal.

So come on now,  all we need is a simple list saying 'IFORCE so and so product' is not considered standard by DSHEA and is subject to seizure.

Simple as that.

Actually Ron, a product list does exist.  It's the schedule in the US Code.  It covers certain metabolites that are contained in the very products they sold.  They did not seize anything that was not already illegal.  And its not the governments job to test everything for the wholesaler and then post a list of what is banned.  That's the job of the mfg and the sellers.  BB.com is gonna get charged with distribution of a controlled substance.  Like it or not, that's the outcome here.

Ephedra is an herbal root while the stuff they are selling are anabolic steroids.  They can call it a prohormone if they like but prohormones are banned anyway.  That's why the Feds are raiding these facilities including IFORCE today.

They do sell anabolic steroids. If it is illegal to sell them is debatable, but they are anabolic steroids technically speaking. Patrick Arnold did time for supplying substances not more illegal than the ones sold by bb.com.  Madol was one steroid Patrick supplied to athletes and is also one bb.com has been selling. If PA was in the wrong then why isn't bb.com also? It's also telling that the biggest supplement players don't touch these substances - they knew they are potential legal trouble.

Here's Patrick Arnold's view on what is DSHEA compliant among the "pro-hormones" sold today. Some may say he's biased but I'm inclined to believe he understands the law pretty well.

Quote
1) there really are no actual prohormones out there anymore other than 11-oxo, epiadrosterone, dhea, androsterone. these all stick by the principles that the original prohormones were meant to stand by. All true prohormones have a check on abuse potential because of the limitations of conversion in the body to active hormones. There was an argument for them until people starting selling stuff like 1-test and then the methyls. That ruined any defense we had
Quote
many of these products have zero evidence of being dshea compliant so they would be easy to pull off the market under current law.

The whole issue is what the govt "considers" a steroid...not to long ago, pro-hormones were just that, and NOT considered a steroid...then the govt said they were.  Now you have a myriad of other supps in the same situation.

If they get it passed, the ONLY thing you'll be able to get is protein powder

Either way, it's ridiculous and a waste of taxpayer money
