Great to see you again...........i started a thread a while ago wondering where some posters like you had gone.

I turned up  this week to see a few pics and the hype, but found nothing. The olympia has been in the toilet since there is no more ronnie vs jay hoopla, it is basically another contest now, back then it was a big entertainment spectacle with update pics each week, smack talk ect...  pumping up the online crowd. Now no one shows pics or anything, very few threads ect....
By looking at the boards , this show has about as much interest as any ther show , which is crazy!

I stopped following bodybuilding a few years ago, but since I still work in the industry I like to pop up during Olympia time and see what people are up to.   I remember when the O was a huge deal and there was months of anticipation leading up to it.

Part of it though is the internet.  You don't have to wait 3 months to find out who won a show and people have a lot more access than they did before.

The other part though is there are no personalities that draw people in. 

Lastly the physiques have gotten so grotesque that I couldn't imagine paying money to see any of those guys almost naked.  Back in the day, you would see nice looking regular women at shows...there was a sex appeal factor.  Clearly those days are gone.
