They were bigger and more ripped. It's pretty much what body building is about.

It doesn't hurt to have a small waist, but so does any muscle bear schmoe out there as well.


Should there be a male figure division or award perhaps?

Lightweight adult bodybuilder's should never be Mr.OLypian's...Dexter was always a lightweight...Phil Heath is the same...

Dorian was always a heavyweight and so was Ronnie...Jay has been a heavyweight sense he was 17 and so was Branch...Arnold doesn't know what its like to be what Dexter started out as (as an adult) something like a 154 pounds or some shit...

Dexter belongs in Jail not in an Olympia circle...Gaining a 100 plus pounds as an adult isn't something that should be looked on as "cool" or admirable...The freak should be brought up on charges...His 100' flat screen stripped from him and all his DVD's given away to charity...

  I agree that they often award improvement more than the actual best bber.  Having said that Phil and especially Vic(probably one of the most overated bbers out there, should not have made T10) are not in the same category as Dex, Jay, Kai.  I would have put Kai in front of Dex and maybe even Jay.  But Dex did not deserve the win...way to little muscle and the cuts were just not far enough above and beyond Jay to make up for it.

I think that's a fair comment. It should not be like that, but I think judges do have a tendency to reward for dramatic improvements over a person's prior look.
