Losing Weight for Charity
« on: September 29, 2009, 09:43:14 PM »
So I suck at losing weight and need outside motivation.  I started a group that for every pound i lose a person will donate 1 dollar to ALS Lou Gehrigs Society up to a maximum of 50 pounds with a 6 month time frame.  I have a large number of people in so I better lose the weight.  Starting weight today is 272 pounds.

I grew a beard for charity (SPCA) but a gimmick of Jedi Knight posted some disgusting false information to them and completely blew the whole thing. Because of him thousands of dollars were lost in charitable donations to the SPCA. Nice hey?

I hope you carb loaded and watered up for the initial weigh in, and didn't shit for a few days beforehand.  For God's sake man, think of the children!

Seriously, good on ya for doing this Av.  You should document it carefully.  With all the fatasses out there who want to lose weight, maybe you could organize something on a larger scale with more participants than just yourself.  Using your own experience to inspire others to join up, you might wind up raising tons for charity!

Btw, if you fuck this up I'm going to donate baseball bats and your address to all of those kids.

what kids?  ALS is Lou Gehrigs Disease.  The concept is actually to get other people who want to lose weight to do the same thing.  There will be a website for this.
