I never like getting hair cuts so I use to wait until it grew out long (actually it grew kind of out and shaggy) and then cut it short. I had a girl that I was with at the time that I really liked. She said that she thought I looked better with short hair. So I kept it short. No big deal. It's not like I compromised any deeply held value system.

Personally, birthdays mean nothing to me and I truly despise Valentine's day. But there isn't a girl I know that don't hold these days with reverence. So I throw her a bone. I celebrate those days with her. It's not like I'm converting to Satanism.
