Well, since he's made improvements since the 08 Ironman, no.

Exactly how do you max out your potential, when you're only in your late 20s and you've been a pro for a whopping THREE YEARS, especially considering that there are top-level bodybuilders, competing in their early/mid 40s.

Indeed, when you have shown nothing better, but more of a case of physique regress, it may be so.

Phil is a lot like Flex Wheeler.  A very good bodybuilder, but there will always be someone just a little better at the Olympia due to structural limitations.

people got to realize that age doesn t matter in today s bb

the human body adjusts very fast to drug intake

1-2 years after a bb maxed out the pharmacy he will maxout his potential and start to fade

and to be honest as younger a guy starts as better he will look at his peak an as earlier he will be finished

best example are guys like wolf or heath
they already took whatever is out there so how can they improve anymore

invent some new drugs?

no - because nature only knows test insulin and gh

increase dosages?

no - because maximum isn t optimum

On Saturday night Phil looked amazing... If they were judging solely on Saturday night he would have been in the top 3 for sure.

There's no "physique regress" in Heath. He was simply off. People were saying much the same thing about his supposed regressing, after Heath's fifth-place finish at the 2007 Arnold.

Then, 2008 rolls around. Heath wins the IronMan and WHOA NELLIE!!!! All the talk was about the major improvements he's made.

And this is from a guy who won the USA on his first try, along with winning his first two pro shows (at the expense of several top-10 Olympia athletes).

Been hearing that for a while now.

For a while? This was just Heath's second Olympia. Give the man some time.

Look at the Ronnie Coleman, Jay Cutler, and Dexter Jackson. It took each of them at least SIX tries, before they got their first Sandow.

Phil's best was at the Mr. O in 2008.

Potential means you haven't done shit yet.   So no.   He needs SIZE like Favre needs to retire.   Phil needs to be 260  at 5-9!   it will come  but by that time  Wolf wil have won 2 Olympia's!!!!

If potential doesn't you haven't done anything, why are you forecasting wins for Wolf at the O?

He doesn't need to be 260 to win; Dexter Jackson proved that last year. But, like Jackson, Heath would need to come in peak condition, COMBINED WITH Jay Cutler being way off (as he was last year), to get it done.

Don't think he was better than at the Ironman.

i think he was... a bit harder, fuller, drier. too much credit at the IM because of the superb lighting at that show.
