Can Dex regain title if he gains 15-20 pounds and stays ripped?

no i am not.

i do not think a 40 year old Dex (who has been the same weight for the past 10 years), can gain a solid 15 pounds and stay as ripped as he ussually is, and not over-develop his turtle gut.

How is he supposed to put on the amount of muscle you say, and lose his gut? At the stage of his physique, one will not happen without the other.
He's always had great abs, but he lets his gut stick out, though not as much as someone else on 2x the amount of shit Dex is doing. He's a little better on keeping it in check.

he needs to tighten up, has at least 2 arnold paycheck lift in him but he'll never win the O again.  that one win will keep guestposing, sponsor money, etc. in his pocket for the next 10 yrs.  be nice and he can do the ronnie tour long after he is done...jsut not as big time as ronnie.

All Dexter needs is to display his ribcage depth, work on his calves and perhaps some thickness in his back.

He has the shoulders and the abs but you need calves too to frame the physique and so he ought to spend the whole year just working those things. He DOESN'T need more overall size,  after all, he did win the Olmypia at his current weight.

It seems strange to say but because of Jay's claves, you could say that Jay is more balanced than Dexter. Dexter needs to come in sliced to the bone, make sure his tan and oil are right, display his ribcage depth and get those calves up.

Now that Jay has regained the title, it is likely that he will return for next year and beyond.  Dexter can regain the title if Jay comes in off like 07-08.  However, it would be surprising to me if Jay comes in off because he seemed to figure it out this year.

If dexed gained only 10 lbs of muscle and kept his porportions he would easily win the mr olympia. Probably could win it again with as little as a 5lb gain. I think he said that the weight change from 2007(3rd) to 2008(1st) was only 2-3 lbs. He was 3rd again this year.

 IF DEXTER PUT ON 5-7 POUNDS AND WAS IN GOOD CONDITION HE COULD DO IT.. he does not appear that much smaller than jay in the relaxed poses.. on his frame 7 pounds would be a good amount..

DEX can cruise top 3 for few more yrs,to win it again i dunno,the put on more size or condition not probable,he is maxxed out size wise,he is a very large 5'6 full bellied musculature,now if branch is the same height or close look how much freakier he looks than dex and weighs more,dex would kill his body lines to get there or more.
