One problem, if not the main problem, is that they are being taught to hate by the leadership in Chicago - these "reverends"... And their parents. Same thing in Detroit, LA, Philadelphia, etc. Instead of learning how to succeed in school and in the workplace, they are learning how to survive at home with a constantly yelling single parent, then survive on the streets, then in prison. They are hardened by the parents (especially the mothers), use these reverends as excuses not to even try, and to have an entitlement mentality. And now we have a president who thinks the same way. Wrong guy to elect.
They need a strong leader with a good work ethic to tell them the truth. Overcome the bitterness, and succeed with hard work. Not be told by a reverend, who likes his grapes peeled before getting them on first class flights, to expect handouts.
There is little hope of rehabilitation for these kinds of kids, sadly, with parents and with leadership like they have.
