In his day, Yates was the best. And there were quite a few days. He wiped the stage with Ronnie.
But if you compare Yates at his best to Ronnie at his best, Yates will come a close 2nd. By no means most overrated mr O ever...
Most overrated, the 2 biggest Weider propaganda machine products, Scott and Arnold. They didnt deserve all they got, even though they were great.
Most underrated, Haney. He dominated for close to a decade, and people dare say he wouldn't get anywhere in the Nats today...
Pretty close to my thoughts on it all, although I do think Arnold was great, certainly he out-conditions Sergio, who was a freak, even though his quads were quite bad. I guess that's what Dorian did with guys like Nasser and Dillet. But anyway, Ronnie had calves in half those old pics, Dorian only had arms in '93. So for me it's 93 Doian vs either 98, 99 Ronnie, which would be close, or 2003 Ronnie which would be hilarious because it's two different generations, but I think by 2003 judging standards Ronnie would take it by a mile. 93 judging standards Ronnie's gut and water levels might hurt him. But 2003 Ronnie had lines in his ass bigger than Dorian's whole body, a back you could fit Dorian into about 4 times, and arms, delt, chest, quads all making Dorian look like a beginner. Dillet had these things too, but didn;t have Ronnie's insane back, lumbar region and glutes, which judges look at straight away, stupid though it may seem.
