Well one thing was certain that day in Sydney...Arnolds biceps and calves were Huge

Not to mention poor old Mr Mentzer came to the Mr O without training chest and his back wasn't equal to Arnies either.

  Yeah from the nipples up.  They didn't count abs or legs in that show, obviously, though Arnies calves were good, his thighs were thin.  Yeah his biceps were great and his chest was about 3/4 of what it was before, and great lower back, good traps, but he had weak triceps, delts were so so,  and  abs were awful.  Was outposed by Dickerson, Coe, Zane, Mentzer and even Callender.  So thighs, abs, tris, delts all subpar. that's over half your body!  But chest on up he was good.  He won cause of 1 chest 2 politics 3 Biceps 4 politics 5 lower back 6. Politics 7 traps 8 politics.  If he had showed up like he looked in 73-75, it would have been different, but he wasn't close to that.

in the 1980 Olympia coverage issue of M&F, one of the competitors, who remained anonymous, mentioned his worry for Arnie competing. He stated something to the tune of , "Yes, to people who don't recall or know, Arnold looks good today. But his chest used to be like a shelf that you hide from the rain under...he is  a shadow of himself....

same issue in which Mentzer said..."What a feather in my cap to beat Arnold (if he enters...)

arnolds midsection was excellent in this competition, deep etched abs, serratus and intercostals all highly defined.
genetically he only had the two rows of abs but no one can say his abs were bad, they were tight.
