Rooting Against America: Nobel Peace Prize Edition
« on: October 09, 2009, 12:40:51 PM »

What would any one expect from a bunch of people barely ashamed of their own racism and proud of their ignorance who defend the war crimes of the Bush-Cheney years but still beat their chests over impeaching Clinton for a blow job.

the only charade here is your post

Then why don't you list all the things that the POTUS has done to warrant being given the nobel prize.

He was nominated after being on office for 2 weeks for cripe sake, take off the rose colored glasses and be objective for once in your life

Our president wins the Nobel Peace Prize it's suddenly like a mob is out to get him. Yet I'm positive that if a republican had won this award the reaction would be completely different.Where do all these sad little losers come from?

If it had been announced that Obama was in the running - then he would have lost - Republicans would have been dissing him for that too.

At this point, repubs will not admit anything good he does.  When he accomplishes something or fails, they'll deliver the same response - they hate obama.

This approach loses a lot of effect.  You can only cry about how 'outraged' you are so many times before people just tune out and tell you to STFU with the whining.

So this I don't get.

Ok, the rest of the world, like myself eg, isn't very impressed about the fact that the US president is getting the most prestigous award there is.

But somehow he's getting ambushed by his own countrymen?

That just doesn't make sense.

I have no problem with it, it's a free world and shit.

First off you have to be nominated for the Noble Peace Prize you don't run for it
What good has the POTUS done? You keep saying his accomplishments, well what are they? What has he done that is above and beyond to warrant being awarded the nobel peace prize?

Your approach of duck and weave has lost its affect, you and the rest of the lib either won't answer or try to throw some moral equivalence bullshit argument into the mix. I think its about time you STFU

Obama hasn't done anything to deserve the Prize.

But it's just weird when his fellow countrymen attack him for it.

I would expect the rest of the world to do it, and there is critisism, even "outrage", if you would look around the world in media outlets.

Norwegian media, the country where the prize jury is located, has been very critical.

But just like when Boston wins the Worlds Series, you don't expect people from Boston rag on Big Papi for not hitting above .300 in the World Series.

That's for other baseball fans to do.

Just my opinion.

Don't hold your breath waiting for a response. Its always the same bullshit, its either racism or the vast right wing conspiracy.

Yes, and to voice that is definitely legit IMO.

I agree with you.

What I don't agree with is the propaganda that is constantly promoted that this is somehow part of some kind of anti-American agenda.
that "Europe" and their French sinister leader with a funny name Sarcasm-something (he's short too and has a porn actress wife) wants to turn USA into sissies through their henchman Obama.

To be honest, I think it's dangerous what Fox News are doing. Trying to pit USA and Europe against each other.

Don't get the idea that we as Europeans are walking around building up some kind of hate for the US.

The very last conversation I had that was related to USA with a friend, just a few hours ago, down in the training facility.
had a positive ring to it, and it wasn't Obama related. ;)

We discussed the lifting of a very good US powerlifter, and his training style.

I have no problem with Europeans,  people are to easily swayed by stations that are called <insert name> news, when 99% of the shows and "reports" they have are commentary and for entertainment purposes. I work at a multinational company and have to deal with people from France to China and have never had a problem with any of them.
