Question for Chick
« on: October 10, 2009, 03:58:50 AM »
Bob,

Seems the 202 is gaining some much needed attention, which IMO is great.

How about trying to resurrect a Masters Division? Seems there are alot of great guys +40 that would prob be great for this show..

Toney, Darrem, yourself etc etc

That could be controversial. Don't make Vince Basile and Goatboy cream their pants.

There simply isnt enough interest to sustain/ justify the expense of sanction fee and purse.

It's more like the undercard to the main fight....still good BBers, but not the main draw.  It doesnt generate enough NEW  money or fans to an event to make it worth the promoters time...

They did try and resurrect it, when Steve W put on the World that I won...because it brought in no more money than the regular pro show, he decided not to have it again...

All comes down to supply and demand...the supp companies dont get any additional exposure or traffic with additional dollars thrown in the mix.

Exactly; Is there any "demand" for women BB, Bob? Do these shows make profit?

just have masters showdown at the olypmia or something, i mean the masters nationals give pro cards so at least have some kind of pro masters division, maybe the sanction fees should be cheaper

So is the 202 drawing enough money to sustain itself?
