Frank Mir Says Shane Carwin Will Defeat Brock Lesnar, Wants Trilogy Fight

Frank Mir recently appeared at the WEC 43 Q&A session on Friday and gave his opinion on the outcome of the upcoming Brock Lesnar vs. Shane Carwin fight at UFC 106, and also talked about wanting a trilogy fight with Lesnar.

He said:

“I would like Carwin to beat him up, because if Brock wins, I got to win two more fights to face him. If Carwin goes ahead and does what I think he should be able to do, because I don’t think that Brock is going to be able to out-muscle him as much as he did me in our last fight. I think that he has more experience, he’s a good athlete, he’s a strong hard hitter. I think Carwin should get the victory and then that means I only have to fight one more time and then I can fight Brock again.”

Mir talks alot of shit, but the two times he faced Lesnar, he was manhandled, the first time he outsmarted Lesnar, the second time lesnar destroyed him, made Mir look like his bitch.

hypothetically, if Carwin does beat lesnar, there's a few good match ups I'd like to see for Lesnar and a third fight with Mir is'nt one of them !

You're not missing much.  You can watch all of them in less than 5 min.  He's decently quick, but if he lets Lesnar on top like he did Gonzaga nutkicker, his goose is cooked

@ 2 min mark or so, it looks like Gonzaga rocks Carwin with two hard rights and Carwin grabs him, then Gonzaga takes him down with ease and is on top pounding him.

If Gonzaga can manhandle Carwin that way, how the fuck is the guy suppose to beat Lesnar?  He better hope he lands the KO punch quick.

actually Anderson and his camp are the ones that initiated the talk of a possible fight with Mir...
and the Brock rematch would be likely as Brock will lose 2 carwin & it would be the rubber match.

You're actually right about Silva and his camp bringing up the idea of fighting Mir. I forgot about that. Though I think he would lose anyway. As for the rubber match with Lesnar, he would really have to do something to get it, I really don't think too many people want to see it. Dana isn't going to make it happen unless Mir puts on a couple of performances like he did on Nog.

doubt it.....although anything is possible.....Carwin is coming off a very long layoff that won't help him but I think the guys got to good of a head on his shoulders to not be 100% ready for the task of dismantling the most overrated fighter of recent memory...

What is Gonzagas background? Wrestler? JewJitsu? Boxing?

If Gonzaga can take down Carwin as easily as he did, don't you think Brock could do the same? I doubt carwin would get out from under Brock as easily as he did Gonzaga.
