Thunder Promotions recently announced that a heavyweight fight between Jeff Monson and Travis Fulton will serve as the new main event for its Alabama Pride event on December 12, which takes place at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex in Birmingham, Alabama.

The organization had previously announced a heavyweight main event between Butterbean and Tank Abbott, but the fight has been dropped entirely from the card.

Also featured on the card is a co-main event celebrity boxing fight between rapper DMX and musician Eric Martinez.

weeks ago the whole DMX MMA thing broke and everyone simultaneously said 'Who the hell is Eric Martinez?'. Now the legendary match between Butterbean and Tank Abbott has been called off, the bout between DMX and his manager Eric Martinez as been changed to a boxing match and Jeff Monson vs. Travis Fulton will headline the card. A few months ago in our interview with Jeremy Horn, we proclaimed that he had the most recorded MMA fights in history. Well it was all a lie. Travis Fulton has, by far, the most recorded fights in MMA. Dude has fought over 200 times with a record of 190-45-9. Not to mention, Travis Fulton is only 32 years old. Go to this guy's wikipedia page and it's like a congressional archive. There you have it, Thunder Promotions having their event the same time as UFC 107. Good luck counter-programming.
