Speck is everything from bacon to ham, usually smoked and aged. It's an Austro-Italian speciality.

I started it here because most of my threads with food pics have been deleted on the other boards

But I'm fine with moving the thread wherever the mods want it.

On its own, kind of bland really, a bit sour. But it's very versatile and tastes awesome both in salty and sweet dishes.

I thought of taking a pic of my hub's dinner last night...looked good...horrible nutrition-wise.

Gnocchi and Quattrofromaggio sauce w/shredded parmesan and black pepper on top and garlic bread.

Not like tofu, more like the stuff in cheese cake but flakier.

What's so horrible about that dinner? It's all just fat, carbs, and protein and a few micros you can easily get elsewhere if needed.

The thread would probably belong in the nutrition. Feel free to move it if the mods in the nutrition are OK with it.
