I'm 35....I can say and do whatever I want. A 4th grader needs to respect the Office of the President and love his country...and it would help if he actually learned about all the good things this country has done as well.

Kids don't need to learn to "hate" or "love" the POTUS, they can make that decision for themselves as they mature. Thats the problem, schools are supposed to teach things like math, english, history not opnions of whoever happens to be teaching at the time.

so you're saying 4th must be taught that they live in a great country but I'm still confused as to what age you actually teach the kid that the lawfully elected president and your commander in chief should actually be hated?

At what age is it acceptable (in your opinion) to tell your kids what you actually believe and how to you justify lying to them previously?

I know you're in the military. Is your hatred something you share with others there too?

I never said kids should be taught that...and yeah I express my opinion. I'm in school now we have 50 other students and 18 in my small group. 2 others are Obama supporters the other 16 either voted for McCain and leave it there or hate Obama worse then I do...kinda hard to do.

what exactly is it you hate abou Obama. I think you said on one of the threads about the peace prize that Obama was continuing all the policies of bush so what is driving your hatred.

I'm in the Command and General Staff course....student. We study alot of strategic level topics and while politics specific to Obama doesn't come up alot..it comes up enough. I hate barry because he's a lib...need I say more. I'm a Con. Straw u know I hate em.

I have as big a problem with this as I do with the mmm Obama.

Yeah but I'm in a class where most of the guys feel the same way. We have 3 black Officers....2 mentioned they voted for him...one doesn't say much. 1 defends him all the time, he's also a buddy so I give him alot of shit. His decisions matter alot to us as far as deployments and quality of life so it comes up. I've got 3 more weeks and then 3 more until Iraq.

Good point Kazan...straw its weird but it wasn't like the Obama thing. Its kinda like that Obama hitler youth clip that the kids were stomping around, that wasn't school either as I recall.
