Cardio Question
« on: October 11, 2009, 08:24:09 PM »
Now that I have dropped pounds I kind of am stagnant. I dropped most of them due to diet, and need to incorporate more cardio.  If you could go any day, any time as many times as u want, what type of cardio would you do and when?

I was thinking of doing intervals in the morning 4 days per week and a stable speed cardio a couple times per week.

But I have no idea, so any thoughts are welcome.

swimming.

somehow I've developed a routine, been going every day past few weeks. I'm doing 30 laps a day, no impact on the joints and good for the back.

shitty.
what was good for me was getting into muay thai. that will whip you into shape in no time. you'll be sore like a mother fucker in the first 3 weeks depending on your condition then it's smooth sailing from there.

45 min of any kind of cardio that you'd like.

low impact, heart rate 120 to 130.

empty stomach - zero calories.  This will burn fat and not the sugars in what you age for breakfast.  Water, ECA, and turn on sportscenter and do your time.

ah the boring stuff.

go to a muay thai class for one hour 3 times a week see how you feel. you won't need that stuff,

muay thai classes usually go for 1 hour.

Indoors - get something on a screen that holds your attention.  Bike is best because your head is still.  Setup your computer so you can surf Getbig, watch movies, etc.

Outdoors - Again I like the bike.  Hm.  Maybe I just like bikes.

30 minutes of cardio is fine unless you're training for a marathon.

Basketball is great cardio as someone already mentioned since its fast paced.

Too intermintent for me. You rest too much in basketball.

I'm not knocking the game, just don't think it's consistent enough in heartrate.

I would do the recumbent bike. High intensity intervals. 20 minute sessions. One before breakfast, one session before bed.

I'm only interested in burning fat. The only way to do this efficiently is to activate the hormone Lipase, which allows the mobilization of bodyfat. You gotta be on a somewhat low carb diet. If insulin levels are rockin out with its cock out, the mobilization of fat out of the adipocytes is damn near impossible, even on low calories.

Low carbs + HIT cardio drains glycogen stores and burns fat. End of story.

I can get on the internet, play guitar, whack-off... whatever- on my recumbent bike.

When prepping for a show I would do Treadmill for 45 minutes at 4.0mph speed. in morning before brkfst.
Depending on how I was coming along mght throw in a second interval at night.

Lately I walk in the morning in front of my big screen, generally put on a movie and watch it over 3 days or so, also bought one of those wiresless headsets as not to wake the family....
