don't think he's worth billions, or even a billion, although he is certainly worth many millions

he owns a big porsche dealership in Dallas

he has kids (sons) her age

among her hobbies: flying small jets

Damn, when will these old rich guys learn.... even pre nup's are worthless these days, biggest irony of all is he'll be footing the bill for her to get the best divorce lawyer money can buy when she decides she's had enough and files under 'irreconcilable differences’

Exactly.

Why do these guys even marry in the first place? Why can't people just live happily outside of fucking marriage?

Marriage is an outdated concept. Considering ANYONE can divorce, what's the point? Then you add to it, some bitch taking at least half your shit..... ??? ::)

I would say he's more of a 'realist' and doesn't sugar coat things, facts are over 50% of marriages result in divorce, most within 10 years, though lately there's been a trend of older couples getting divorced (couples together for 15+ years)

Realistic is more like it. I speak from experience. How old are you? Sounds like you are young, and still believe someone out there will love you forever and ever. I'm not saying there's no true love, it's just that more likely than not, you'll end up with the wrong person. Sadly, you'll realize when you've done something stupid like get married.

I personally believe, people should live together if they so choose to. Marriage should be the last thing on anyone's mind. Thing is, our society pressures us into doing stupid things. You know, like parents and grandparents, "when are you gonna get married, or give me grandchildren?"

BTW, kids is another thing that isn't for everyone. But that doesn't stop the self absorbed, stupid, broke and selfish from having them. Same with marriage. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

Now in this guy's case, I don't see how this benefits him. Is he afraid to sleep alone? Does he need someone to watch his pets when he is out of town? What's is the point of marriage? He could fuck lots of chicks, just on his financial status. Why ruin that?

Thank you. I try to be honest with people. I wish I would have had someone to give me real insights into life, when I was younger. In fact, I had the opposite.  :-\

Old enough to know that while I love my wife, there are some things in my life that I needn't bother her with ... I'm sure the happy couple has some arrangement like that

Huh?

Seriously, how old are you? If you are both happily married, good for you. I mean that. I hope it remains that way.

BTW, what did you mean by "there are some things in my life that I needn't bother her with"?

People try to make marriage the answer to all their life's wants and needs. In my experience, it doesn't work that way ... but that doesn't mean we're not happily married

I agree with you, there. Now, how old are you? How long have you been in married "bliss"?

I'm not going to say how old I am because I like poking fun at the stalker crowd on here (Hi fat Alex!  :D)

Married only a few years. But I've been with her for nearly ten

Then PM me your age. I Will not leak it to anyone.

Good for you guys, but you are still in the "good" years. That said, again, I hope it all goes great for the both of you. Wish you the best.

Even if "your" marriage is great, it is sadly, the exception, not the norm.
