It needs to be leveled. As in made to be a level, transparent playing field. The Feds manipulation, the banks coruption and our governments intrusion has done much to hurt the view of our markets. Confidence is key, and there isn't much to be had right now.

This is so absurd.   Let these bums fail.  I still see no reason why the govt could not have let these people fail and act as a backstop for lwending in the meantime through smaller healthier banks.

Are they even paying back the money they borrowed at tax payer expense? That should be paid back with interest. Because you know China is charging the US interest for the money it loaned us.

Anybody have a link that investigates the payback?

I heard AIG has missed a couple of payments already.

First of all, what are you going to do about the bonuses? Make a low forbiding them? That will probably create unintended bad consequences. You people are wasting time and energy attacking the wrong people. And you are being busy body leeches. I dont think you people really understand how things work in the banking industry. Paying out those bonuses are going to create unintended bad consequences - for the bankers. I would not be surprised one bit. We will see what the future brings them - take care, bankers.
