The only way diueretics will cause that, is if you cross the line into dehydration where your kidneys shut down, etc....if that were the case, there aint no way on earth Phil is in any condition to compete on Friday, much less come back the next day (sat) and be healthy enough to compete AND lok better in the process.

I know...all these theories sound better than the truth, right?

Cant possibly be that he just got a hold of a bad piece of fish?...nahhhh

I have heard this happening a few times before.

Fish is a relatively poor pre-day of contest choice due to the 'bad' factor

stick with something safer

Eating the same food day in day out can cause allergies, it's the bodies way of trying to get you to find some balance other than "protein and carb food combination A" or "protein and carb food combination B".

And you were at 4% bodyfat with your immune system at its lowest that whole time I suppose?
Try dieting for a show, even amateur like me,you will see what happens when your bodyfat drops very low and your immune system weakens

Phil more than likely was not eating either of those, and if he was, it was surely not out of a can like you're doing.
He was probably having room service cook him up some orange roughy or an actual piece of good fish and that is where the food poisoning occurred.
Sometimes it's as simple as a preparation mistake. I've gotten food poisoning 3 different times, and the first was the worst. I had been going there 2yrs, nothing before it and nothing after it either. But something went wrong and I spent 13hrs puking, and dry heaving. Not fun.

since when did flex post the EMT in a vain effort to try and prove that their "future of bodybuilding" was actually sick?

How do you figure he gets "babied"?

the only difference between Phil blowing his contest prep, and another competitor is that FLEX had invested a lot of hype in Phil's name.
Hence the mad rush to save face.

"food poisoning"  = can't fess up.

You have no idea what you're talking about, do you?

1. assuming he's taking what you claim, it would cause him to be sick? And only on the last day of the diet, not the 12 weeks prior?
2. Who is bitching about the diet? Here is a clue: this aint his first
3.Who said anything about being an "emotional wreck"? He was throwing up his guts, not crying in the corner

The "only difference"? Unless you make your living with your physique (which you dont) what difference is it whether you dropped to 22% BF last month or not? Phil was getting "oiled up and stepping on stage....for $200K, not including any bonus he may have coming from Met-Rx.  I know this is chump change for a man of your stature, but it's a pretty good payday for everyone else.

I guess maybe Canned Fish is pretty safe, way less risk of food poisoning compared to buying whole fish/fillets.

food poisoning sounds better than drug/diuretic abuse, therefore you AMI lackeys ran with it.

remember, drugs are not part of Phil's contest prep. They were not mentioned in the "all inclusive" articles about his olympia prep.

The only way diueretics will cause that, is if you cross the line into dehydration where your kidneys shut down, etc....if that were the case, there aint no way on earth Phil is in any condition to compete on Friday, much less come back the next day (sat) and be healthy enough to compete AND lok better in the process.

I don't believe  it was a bad piece of fish or bad food. I could be wrong.
If you are an athlete and you need to diet hard, you should know how to check your food.
Yes, i could  agree with you after 12,10 weeks dieting. your immune system will be pretty f*cked.
But. its easy to blame the food, instead blaming all the 12, 10 weeks of drugs.

Its all nutrition and training FST-7 with Rimjob!

This is such bullshit and you know it. I know plenty of competitors who were puking and shitting their brains out the days before shows and still ended up competing - in some cases in their career best form (but close to death).

Didn't Flex Lewis also have this "food poisoning" before the Olympia?

What a coincidence.  ::)

Hey Bob, take a look at this post by Flex Lewis' girlfriend about the Atlantic City Pro Show.

Quote from: ShinaM
Flex was very tight tonight!! He was sick all night last night.. up until 3 in the morn throwing up... he still is suffering from a digestion problem, same as last year before the Tampa...Thats why

But he has fought for it hard and IMO he is Number one... over all best package... yea his tan will be better tomorrow... new tan did not take to his skin....

NO WORRIES.. i am very poud of my husband.... NUMBER ONE baby!!

Food poisoning night before show seems like a regular thing for a lot of guys.  ::)

LOL bob probably can't afford fish, i am guessing he eats a steady diet of boxed macroonni and cheese and maybe some white rice, mixed with beans.
